5 MINUTES WITH DR. ALICIA ROBBINS

A quick Q+A on modern women’s health, hormones, and what it really means to thrive through midlife.

  • Not being able to help women I was seeing in their 40s because I hadn’t been trained in perimenopause or menopause.

  • Drinking lemon water with Himalayan salt in the morning has helped with energy, skin, bloat, and hunger. Also, if I want to replace a cocktail, I sometimes drink the Cann CBD drinks.

  • Hot yoga, getting sunlight in my eyes as I drink my coffee, and taking creatine.

  • I approach perimenopause like any other hormone deficiency. It shouldn’t be overcomplicated. My philosophy is that women should receive care that feels modern and know they are in control of their care. This doesn’t need to feel negative. I actually want it to feel fun.

  • It takes investing time and resources, but it’s worth it. Feeling good has positive ripple effects on those around us. We give so much—we need to take care of ourselves.
